01
THE ARTIST
Between childhood and adulthood.
A visual identity project for a fictional concert tour of Thai indie-pop artist Phum Viphurit, whose music combines light, guitar-driven melodies with reflective lyrics, creating a distinctive balance between carefree youthfulness and maturity.
The inspiration for both the name and the overall visual system came from the album Manchild and the recurring themes present in the artist’s work. His music often conveys a sense of existing between different stages of life — childhood and adulthood, change and stability, uncertainty and acceptance. This idea of being “in between” became the foundation of the Between concept.
02
VISUAL LANGUAGE
Lines, and the space between them.
The visual language is based on the combination of the Latin alphabet and the Thai spelling of the artist’s name. Deconstructed elements of Thai characters were used as modules to build the identity system. Vertical and horizontal lines define boundaries while simultaneously creating the space between them — a metaphor for transition, transformation, and existing between different experiences and stages of life.
An important role is played not only by the lines themselves, but also by the space between them, representing a state of suspension and the experience of existing between different emotions, experiences, and life stages.

03
COLOUR SYSTEM
Vibrant gradients against black.
The project’s colour system is based on the contrast between vibrant multicoloured gradients and black. The rich use of colour evokes associations with childhood spontaneity, curiosity, and playfulness, while black represents maturity, reflection, and a more conscious perspective on the world. Their coexistence serves as a visual representation of the project’s central idea — existing between childhood and adulthood.
Gradient transitions also symbolize the emotional states present in Phum Viphurit’s work. Much like emotions, colours flow into one another and constantly change without clear boundaries.
